Sensex flat; IT index up 3%

The Sensex after languishing in the red for quite some time has now rebounded after the IIP nos came out.The index is now at 13,782, up 28 points.

The BSE IT and the realty index is up around 3% each.

Sterlite has surged around 4% to Rs 577 and Tata Steel is up 1.5% at Rs 370.

Wipro has advanced 3.5% to Rs 385 and Infosys has gained 2.5% at Rs 1,720. TCS has added 2% at Rs 396.

DLF has increased 3% to Rs 287.

Jaiprakash Associates has dropped 2% to Rs 192.

Mahindra & Mahindra , Hero Honda and Tata Power have declined around 2% each to Rs 706, Rs 1,450 and Rs 1,075, respectively.

 

Sun Pharma down 2% at Rs 1,146.

The market breadth is positive, out of 2,316 shares traded, 1,179 have advanced and 1,058 have declined so far on the BSE.
