Sensex flat; M&M drops 3%

The Sensex is unchanged at 15,311.

Ambuja Cements has soared 3% to Rs 137. Reliance and TCS have surged 2.5% each to Rs 1,820 and Rs 1,155, respectively.

Satyam has advanced 1.4% to Rs 489. Dr.Reddy's and Wipro are up around 1% each at Rs 670 and Rs 505, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has plunged over 3% to Rs 795. HDFC, SBI, Reliance Communications and BHEL have dropped over 2% each to Rs 1,950, Rs 1,581, Rs 563 and Rs 1,627, respectively.

Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto and Hindalco have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 683, Rs 2,220 and Rs 178, respectively.

Cipla and Bharti Airtel are down 1.3% each to Rs 206 and Rs 866, respectively.

Out of 2,711 stocks traded so far, 1,690 have declined, 948 have advanced and 73 are unchanged.
