Sensex flat; Maruti zooms 5%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up two points at 15,701.

Ranbaxy has zoomed 8% to Rs 369. Maruti has soared over 5% to Rs 852. Cipla has surged nearly 4% to Rs 193.

Bajaj Auto, Reliance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and Infosys have advanced around 2% each to Rs 2,405, Rs 1,942, Rs 797, Rs 740 and Rs 2,025, respectively.

Satyam and HDFC are up over 1% each at Rs 492 and Rs 1,983, respectively.

ACC has plunged 5.5% to Rs 1,013. Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and BHEL have shed around 3% each to Rs 918, Rs 1,205 and Rs 1,738, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has dropped 2.5% to Rs 125. Larsen & Toubro has slipped over 2% to Rs 2,519.

Hindustan Unilever has declined 1.7% to Rs 199. ICICI Bank, SBI and Grasim are down around 1% each to Rs 949, Rs 1,551 and Rs 2,940, respectively.

Out of 2,565 stocks traded so far, 1,471 have advanced, 1,012 have declined and 82 are unchanged.
