Sensex flat; Ramco System zooms 20%

The Sensex has erased all its gains and is now flat at 11,307.

BHEL has rallied 4.3% to Rs 2,228. Cipla has surged 3% to Rs 656, and Tata Steel is up nearly 3% at Rs 537.

Maruti and Tata Motors have gained 2.5% each at Rs 876 and Rs 930, respectively. Bajaj Auto has moved up 2.3% to Rs 2,758.

Ranbaxy has plunged 3% to Rs 440. TCS has dropped 2.4% to Rs 1,922.

Bharti Tele and HLL are down nearly 2% each at Rs 408 and Rs 268, respectively.

Out of 2,336 stocks traded so far, 1,626 have moved up, 647 have slipped and 63 are unchanged.

Ramco System has hit the 20% upper limit at Rs 236. Kovia Media, IFCI, DCW, Advik Labs, Nahar Exports, Solectron, Eicher Motors, Shasun Chemicals, FACT, IndusInd Bank, Moser Baer, Jet Airways, Titan, IDBI, Century Textiles, Alfa Laval and India Cements are the other major gainers.

SPL has dropped 5% to Rs 73.30. Goetze India, Ansal Infrastructure, State Bank of Mysore, Nagarjuna Construction, Onward Technologies, DCM Shriram Consolidated, Container Corporation and HCL Technologies are the other major losers.
