Sensex flat; Ranbaxy gains 3%

The Sensex continues to remain flat at 20,219 - up two points.

Ranbaxy has surged 2.5% to Rs 422. Reliance Energy and HDFC have rallied over 1.5% each to Rs 2,172 and Rs 2,950, respectively.

DLF and Tata Steel have gained 1.3% each at Rs 1,024 and Rs 919, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced over 1% to Rs 837.

Wipro has plunged 2.8% to Rs 534. Bharti Airtel has shed 1.8% at Rs 949.

Bajaj Auto has dropped 1.3% to Rs 2,639. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have slipped 1% each to Rs 1,727 and Rs 1,230, respectively.

Out of 2,831 stocks traded so far, 2,079 have advanced, 717 have declined and 35 are unchanged.
