Sensex flat; Tata Motors up 4%

The Sensex slipped into the negative to touch a low of 17,143.47 and is now flat at 17,201, up three points.

The NSE Nifty is at 5,130, up eight points.

Among the sectoral inidices, the BSE realty index continues to lead, up 1% at 3,934.

Tata Motors has advanced 3.5% to Rs 725. DLF, ICICI Bank and Maruti has added over 1.5% each at Rs 377, Rs 900 and Rs 1,612, respectively.

The other gainers include Jaiprakash Associates, SBI and Hindalco, up 1% each.

Relaince Infrastructure is the major loser on the Sensex so far, down 2% at Rs 1,059. BHEL, Sun Pharma, ACC and TCS down 1% each.

The market breadth is positive, out of 2,714 shares traded, 1,486 have advanced and 1,130 have declined so far on the BSE.
