Sensex flat; tech stocks advance

The Sensex has recovered all its losses and is now almost flat 17,343 - down six points.

The NSE Nifty has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up four points at 5,115.

Bajaj Auto has tumbled 4.4% to Rs 2,195. HDFC Bank has plunged 3.4% to Rs 1,425.

Mahindra & Mahindra and ICICI Bank have slipped over 2% each to Rs 615 and Rs 1,075, respectively.

SBI, Tata Steel and Hindalco are down over 1% each to Rs 2,091, Rs 795 and Rs 190, respectively.

Satyam has surged 2% to Rs 447. Infosys and Wipro have rallied over 1.5% each to Rs 1,607 and Rs 429, respectively.

Maruti has gained 2% at Rs 782. ONGC and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 1,014 and Rs 416, respectively.

Cipla and ITC are up 1% each at Rs 201 and Rs 202, respectively.
