Sensex gains 104pts; Hero Honda rallies 4%

The Sensex is now up 104 points at 12,988.

TCS and Hero Honda have soared over 4% each to Rs 1,253 and Rs 683, respectively. HLL has surged 3.5% to Rs 205.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced over 3% to Rs 1,616. Ranbaxy has advanced 2.5% to Rs 346, and Maruti has added 1.7% to Rs 813.

ITC, Gujarat Ambuja and Satyam are up 1.4% each at Rs 146, Rs 104 and Rs 462, respectively.

HDFC Bank has slipped 1.7% to Rs 939. Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto are down over 1% each to Rs 711 and Rs 2,435, respectively.

Out of 2,525 stocks traded so far, 1,489 have advanced, 962 have declined and 74 are unchanged.
