The Sensex is now up 15 points at 7,362 following steady buying support in select old and new economy stocks. The Nifty is up seven points at 2,244. Reliance Industries is trading firm with a gain of 1.92% (Rs 13) at Rs 678. ONGC is still up Rs 4 at Rs 920. ITC has declined 1.10% (Rs 19) to Rs 1,677. L&T has gained a per cent (Rs 12) to Rs 1,298. Tata Power and Tisco, too, are up a per cent each at Rs 402 and Rs 373, respectively. SBI is still up 1.86% (Rs 9) at Rs 507. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank are still trading with steady gains at Rs 642 and Rs 442, respectively. Satyam is up nearly 2% (Rs 9) to Rs 507. Infosys has edged lower by a per cent (Rs 22) to Rs 2,236, while TCS is subdued at Rs 1,313 - down Rs 4. Grasim has gained 2.30% (Rs 26) to Rs 1,166. Other cement majors are displaying a mixed trend. Hero Honda has tumbled 3.56% (Rs 23) to Rs 613, and Tata Motors is down a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 473. Bharti has edged lower by 1.43% (Rs 4) to Rs 251. HDFC has shed 1.20% (Rs 11) to Rs 889. |
