Sensex gains 27pts to close at 10,113

After moving in a wide range of 10,192 - 10,036, the Sensex finally ended with a gain of 27 points at 10,113.

HLL, for the second consecutive day, was the major gainer among the Sensex stocks. The stock surged 5% to Rs 236. ITC rallied 4.2% to Rs 171.

Bajaj Auto zoomed 4.7% to Rs 2,410. However, Maruti slipped 2.4% to Rs 752, and Hero Honda was down 1.4% at Rs 887.

NTPC flared up by 4.5% to close at Rs 124. While Reliance Energy declined 2.2% to Rs 601, Tata Power ended with a loss of 1% at Rs 489.

Hindalco added nearly 3% to Rs 163, and Tata Steel gained 1% at Rs 388. Grasim spurted 2.3% to Rs 1,662. Ranbaxy moved up 2.3% to Rs 447.

Reliance dropped 1.8% to Rs 701. Larsen & Toubro shed 1.5% to Rs 2,366. ONGC was down 1.2% at Rs 1,157.

HDFC declined 2.2% to Rs 1,339. Infosys slipped 1.8% to Rs 2,772.
