Sensex in red, down 34pts; DLF drops 4%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 34 points at 16,306.

The NSE Nifty is down six points at 4,858.

Satyam has soared nearly 3% to Rs 418, and Infosys has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,455.

NTPC, ONGC and Grasim have rallied nearly 2% each to Rs 194, Rs 977 and Rs 2,854, respectively.

ITC, Tata Steel and Wipro are up around 1.5% each at Rs 188, Rs 789 and Rs 423, respectively.

DLF has slumped 4.5% to Rs 648. ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have plunged around 2.5% each to Rs 946 and Rs 751, respectively.

SBI and Mahindra & Mahindra have tumbled around 1.5% each to Rs 1,843 and Rs 695, respectively.

Reliance Energy and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 1,485 and Rs 1,342, respectively.
