The market continues to oscillate between positive and negative zone since the opening trades. After slipping to a new low of 6,170 in early noon trades, the index has pared losses on selective buying and is now down four points at 6,188. The Nifty is weaker by two points at 1,932. ITC has scaled down 1.46% (Rs 18) to Rs 1,234, and HLL is trading with a rupee loss at Rs 142. Reliance, on volumes of over 15.71 lakh, is up Rs 2 at Rs 513. Wipro (up Rs 4 to Rs 687) and Infosys (up Rs 2 to Rs 1,965) are trading with steady gains. Satyam, however, is trading lower by a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 363. Zee has advanced 3.16% (Rs 5) to Rs 154 on fresh buying support. Tisco, with volumes of over 16.23 lakh, is up 1.85% (Rs 6) at Rs 350. Reliance Energy is up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 503 ahead of its quarterly results todady. Hindalco is subdued at Rs 1,269 - down Rs 12. While Tata Power has shed 2.26% (Rs 8) to Rs 368, ONGC is trading weaker by Rs 2 at Rs 773. ACC, on volumes of over 8.66 lakh, is up a rupee at Rs 363. While Gujarat Ambuja is up a per cent at Rs 444, Grasim is trading weak at Rs 1,282 - down Rs 8. Cipla is trading higher by 2.43% (Rs 6) to Rs 268 on strong Q3 results. Other pharma majors, however, are displaying weak trends. Bajaj (down Rs 20 to Rs 1,064) is still languishing in negative territory, ahead of its results today. Pharma stocks have eased on selling pressure. Vimta Labs has shed 4.29% to Rs 606, and Lupin has lost 3.20% to Rs 573. While Aurobindo Pharma has declined 3% to Rs 283, Orchid Chemicals has slipped 2.49% to Rs 352. Divi's Lab, Zandu Pharma and Neuland Lab are also trading at weaker levels. Reliance is leading the value chart with a turnover of Rs 80 crore, followed by Tisco (Rs 56 crore), ACC (Rs 31 crore), SBI (Rs 25 crore) and Ranbaxy (Rs 19 crore), respectively. |
