Sensex marginally down; ICICI Bank drops 4%

The Sensex continues to move in the same morning range of 200-odd points - a low of 9,631 and a high of 9,850. The index is now down 21 points at 9,713.

ITC has surged 2.5% to Rs 173. NTPC has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 147.

Bharti Airtel has gained 1.5% at Rs 649. Hindustan Unilever, Hindalco and Reliance Communications are up 1% each at Rs 248, Rs 57 and Rs 218, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has plunged 5% to Rs 361. ICICI Bank has tumbled over 4% to Rs 416. Maruti has shed 3.7% at Rs 578.

 

Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Tata Power have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 155, Rs 181 and Rs 702, respectively.

BHEL, Sterlite and DLF have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,352, Rs 233 and Rs 266, respectively.

Ranbaxy has declined 1.7% to Rs 213. HDFC Bank and Infosys are down 1.3% each at Rs 1,046 and Rs 1,232, respectively.
