Sensex moves sideways, up 369pts

The Sensex after opening up nearly 200 points has moved sideways. The index is now up 369 points at 13,958.

Ranbaxy and Sterlite have surged 7% each to Rs 261 and Rs 577, respectively. DLF and Reliance Infrastructure rallied 6% each to Rs 358 and Rs 1,194, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, ONGC, Reliance Communications, Hindalco have gained 5% each.

SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Grasim, Sun Pharma, Mahindra & Mahindra, BHEL, TCS and Reliance have also moved up.

The market breadth is extremily positive. Out of 2,448 stocks traded, 2,054 have advanced while 349 have declined.
