HDFC Bank has rallied over 3% to Rs 1,118. Tata Steel, Reliance Communications and Cipla have gained 2.7% each at Rs 615, Rs 459 and Rs 233, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructre has moved up 2.3% to Rs 880. Grasim and Hindalco have added 2% each to Rs 1,763 and Rs 145, respectively.
Satyam and Wipro have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 374 and Rs 380, respectively. SBI is up 1.6% at Rs 1,369.
Maruti has plunged 8.5% to Rs 593.
Tata Motors has shed 2.4% at Rs 410, and Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 2% to Rs 163.
Bharti Airtel has dropped 1.5% to Rs 786. DLF is down over 1% to Rs 458.
