Sensex moves up, gains 199pts; REL soars 5%

The Sensex has moved up and is now up 199 points at 18,725.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 5.3% to Rs 1,691. HDFC and DLF have soared 3.7% each to Rs 2,655 and Rs 853, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has surged 3.3% to Rs 4,070. NTPC has gained nearly 3% at Rs 234.

Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto have rallied 2.3% each to Rs 709 and Rs 2,530, respectively.

BHEL has moved up 2% to Rs 2,535, and Infosys has added 1.8% to Rs 1,560.

Hindustan Unilever and Reliance are up around 1.5% each at Rs 205 and Rs 2,767, respectively.

HDFC Bank has plunged 2.7% to Rs 1,550. Maruti has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 949.

Out of 2,794 stocks traded so far, 1,676 have advanced, 1,055 have declined and 63 are unchanged.
