<b>Sensex nears 20K, up 912pts</b>

The Sensex is now up 912 points at 19,947.

HDFC Bank has zoomed nearly 11% to Rs 1,749. ICICI Bank has soared 7.5% to Rs 1,265.

Reliance has surged 7% to Rs 2,887. Hindalco and Wipro have rallied 6.5% each to Rs 217 and Rs 470, respectively.

HDFC has advanced over 6% to Rs 2,747. Infosys has gained 5% at Rs 1,710.

ONGC and Satyam have moved up 4.5% each to Rs 1,237 and Rs 429, respectively. Maruti has added 3.8% to Rs 1,042.

BHEL and TCS are up 3.5% each at Rs 2,875 and Rs 982, respectively.

Out of 2,834 stocks traded so far, 2,019 have advanced, 748 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
