Sensex nears green territory; Reliance gains 2%

The Sensex has recovered most of its losses and is now down 28 points at 13,503.

ICICI Bank has slumped 7.8% to Rs 579.

Jaiprakash Associates and Satyam have plunged over 5% each to Rs 140 and Rs 349, respectively.

Wipro has shed 4.3% at Rs 385. Maruti and Ranbaxy have tumbled nearly 4% each to Rs 696 and Rs 404, respectively.

DLF has dropped 3.5% to Rs 418. Tata Steel has slipped 2.5% to Rs 487.

SBI has rallied 4% to Rs 1,549. HDFC Bank has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,234.

Reliance has advanced over 2% to Rs 1,924. Tata Motors has added 1.3% to Rs 396.

 

Out of 2,666 stocks traded so far, 1,920 have declined, 670 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
