Sensex off day's high, up 97pts

The Sensex has slipped from its high and is now at 14,443, up 97 points.

ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro have gained 2.5% each to Rs 715 and Rs 1,562, respectively. ACC has added 2% to Rs 782.

Sterlite, DLF, Hindalco, Reliance Communications, BHEL and Reliance have advanced around 1% each.

However, Sun Pharma has recovered partially from its low and is now 13% down at Rs 1,125.

Ranbaxy has shed 2% at Rs 261. Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC, ONGC, Grasim and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped around 1% each.

The market breadth is fairly positive. Out of 2,022 stocks traded 1,204 have advanced and 744 have declined.
