Sensex off day's low, down 141pts

The Sensex is off the day's low and is now down 141 points at 19,148. The index touched a low of 18,973 in opening trades.

HDFC Bank has slipped over 3% to Rs 1,566. Wipro and ONGC have dropped over 2% each to Rs 467 and Rs 1,262, respectively.

HDFC, ICICI Bank, Maruti, SBI and Reliance Energy have shed 2% each at Rs 2,520, Rs 1,180, Rs 977, Rs 2,224 and Rs 1,785, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Tata Motors are down 1.8% each at Rs 714 and Rs 709, respectively.
