Sensex off day's low; Jaiprakash, HUL gain 2%

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 13,333, and is now down 164 points at 13,383.

TCS has slumped 3% to Rs 670. ICICI Bank has shed 2.7% at Rs 580.

Tata Steel, ONGC and HDFC have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 473, Rs 1,045 and Rs 2,115, respectively.

Sterlite, Infosys and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 468, Rs 1,478 and Rs 549, respectively.

Grasim, HDFC Bank, Ranbaxy and DLF have declined 1.7% each to Rs 1,835, Rs 1,277, Rs 291 and Rs 383, respectively.

NTPC, Tata Motors, BHEL and Reliance Communications are down around 1.5% each to Rs 176, Rs 378, Rs 1,607 and Rs 360, respectively.

 

Jaiprakash Associates has advanced 2.3% to Rs 126, and Hindustan Unilever has added 1.7% to Rs 254.
