Sensex off days high, up 38pts

The Sensex, after touching a high of 13,841, is moving sideways. The index is now up 38 points at 13,775.

Ranbaxy and HDFC have gained 3% each at Rs 231 and Rs 2,160, repectively. Reliance Infrastructure has advanced 2.5% to Rs 1,139.

NTPC, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Communications have added 2% each To Rs 217, Rs 1,269 and Rs 329, respectively. Reliance, BHEL, DLF, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Jaiprakash Associates and ITC have also moved up around a per cent each.

On the other hand, ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra have shed 2.5% each at Rs 1,048 and Rs 638, respectively.

 

Sterlite and Grasim have slipped 2% each to Rs 520 and Rs 2,152, respectively. ACC, TCS, Maruti Suzuki and Wipro have declined.
