Sensex pares gains, now up 81pts

The Sensex touched a all-time intra-day high of 10,706, but has now pared some of its gains. The index is now up 81 points at 10,646.

Bharti Tele has pared gains, but is still up 3.8% at Rs 392. ONGC, Maruti and Tata Power have gained 2.5% each at Rs 1,150, Rs 907 and Rs 535, respectively. Tata Steel has added 2.3% to Rs 453.

Larsen & Toubro, ITC, Tata Motors, SBI, Wipro and BHEL are up 1-2% each.

Infosys and Dr.Reddy's are down 1% each at Rs 2,877 and Rs 1,310, respectively.

The market breadth is marginally negative. Out of 2,488 stocks traded so far, 1,275 have declined, 1,130 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
