Sensex pares gains, up 136pts

The Sensex has pared gains and is now up 136 points at 19,931.

Bharti Airtel and DLF have soared 3% each to Rs 968 and Rs 1,001, respectively.

Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 737 and Rs 1,727, respectively.

Infosys has surged over 2% to Rs 1,670. TCS and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,052 and Rs 405, respectively.

HDFC, ICICI Bank and SBI are the other major gainers at Rs 2,848, Rs 1,211 and Rs 2,418, respectively.

HDFC, Grasim and Hindalco are up around 1% each at Rs 2,847, Rs 3,716 and Rs 195, respectively.

Ambuja Cements and ONGC have slipped over 1% each to Rs 152 and Rs 1,179, respectively. ITC is down nearly 1% at Rs 191.
