Sensex pares gains, up 20pts

After touching a high of 12,039, the Sensex has pared gains and is now up 20 points 11,990.

Reliance Communications has rallied 2.8% to Rs 340.

NTPC, Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel, Hero Honda and Tata Steel have advanced around 1% each.

Out of 2,473 stocks traded so far, 1,275 have declined, 1,114 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
