Sensex pares gains, up 20pts

The Sensex had touched a high of 14,287 in early trades, but has now pared gains and is up 20 points at 14,208.

Reliance Communications has surged nearly 2% to Rs 455. Satyam, Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel have advanced 1.4% each to Rs 469, Rs 462 and Rs 817, respectively.

Wipro and Reliance are up 1% each at Rs 676 and Rs 1,421, respectively.

Grasim, ACC and Gujarat Ambuja are down over 1% each to Rs 2,515, Rs 995 and Rs 130, respectively.

Out of 2,255 stocks traded so far, 1,165 have advanced, 1,022 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
