Sensex pares gains, up 22pts

The Sensex has pared gains in early trades and is now up 22 points at 20,750. The index had touched a high of 20,873 in opening trades.

Reliance Energy and HDFC Bank have rallied 1.3% each to Rs 2,505 and Rs 1,810, respectively.

DLF and Tata Steel have gained 1% each at Rs 1,218 and Rs 847, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has slumped 2.5% to Rs 885. Hindustan Unilever has slipped 1% to Rs 217.
