Sensex pares gains, up 33pts

The Sensex has pared gains and is now up 32 points 13,684. The index had touched a high of 13,748 earlier in the day.

ONGC has gained 2% at Rs 930. ITC has added 1.5% to Rs 165.

Gujarat Ambuja has spurted 1.3% to Rs 139. Bajaj Auto, Wipro and HLL are up over 1% each at Rs 2,743, Rs 586 and Rs 212, respectively.

ACC and Grasim are the other prominent gainers.

HDFC Bank has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,006. HDFC is down 1% at Rs 1,579.

Out of 2,433 stocks traded so far, 1,806 have moved up, 574 have declined and 53 are unchanged.
