Sensex pares gains, up 43pts; REL gains 3%

The Sensex has pared gains and is now up 43 points at 15,007.

Reliance Energy has surged 2.7% to Rs 614. ONGC and HDFC Bank have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 892 and Rs 1,170, respectively.

HDFC, Infosys and NTPC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,942, Rs 1,998 and Rs 157, respectively.

BHEL, Satyam and TCS are up around 1% each at Rs 1,573, Rs 494 and Rs 1,170, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, today replaced Hero Honda in the index stocks, has slipped 1.2% to Rs 778.

ICICI Bank and ACC are down 1% each at Rs 971 and Rs 1,031, respectively.
