Sensex pares gains, up 45pts

The Sensex has pared gains in early trades and is now up 45 points 14,208. The index had touched a high of 14,284 in opening trades.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and BHEL have advanced around 1% each to Rs 1,122, Rs 918 and Rs 1,402, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped over 1% to Rs 672.
