Sensex pares gains, up 58pts

The Sensex has pared some of its gains and is now up 58 points at 12,782. The index had touched a high of 12,849 in the early morning trades.

Wipro has gained 1.8% at Rs 560. Tata Steel and Reliance Energy have surged 1.7% each to Rs 510 and Rs 460, respectively.

Reliance, BHEL and Bharti Airtel are up around 1.5% each at Rs 1,215, Rs 2,450 and Rs 498, respectively.

SBI has advanced 1.3% to Rs 1,050. Hindalco and ACC have advanced over 1% each to Rs 189 and Rs 992, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,747.

Out of 2,452 stocks traded so far, 1,463 have advanced, 897 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
