Sensex pares gains, up 75pts

The Sensex has pared most of its gains and is now up 75 points at 15,383.

Tata Steel has surged nearly 3% to Rs 670. ICICI Bank has advanced 2.7% to Rs 908, and BHEL has added 2.5% to Rs 1,755.

Maruti has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 853. Tata Motors has gained 1.6% at Rs 672.

Wipro, NTPC and Bajaj Auto are up over 1% each at Rs 482, Rs 173 and Rs 2,335, respectively.

Hindalco and HDFC have slipped nearly 1% each to Rs 160 and Rs 2,048, respectively.

Out of 2,559 stocks traded so far, 1,556 have advanced, 939 have declined and 64 are unchanged.
