Sensex pares gains, up 79pts

The Sensex has pared some gains and is now up 79 points at 11,094.

Tata Motors and SBI have advanced over 3% each at Rs 790 and Rs 858, respectively.

Satyam and ITC have spurted over 2% each to Rs 760 and Rs 176, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Dr.Reddy's are up nearly 2% each.

Ranbaxy, Maruti, Hero Honda and Reliance Energy are the other prominent gainers.

HDFC Bank has declined 1% to Rs 806. ICICI Bank, HDFC and Bharti Airtel are the other notable losers.

Out of 2,426 stocks traded so far, 1,625 have advanced, 719 have declined and 82 are unchanged.
