Sensex pares loss; down 229pts

Selective buying at lower levels has seen the Sensex reduce losses. The index is now down 229 points at 6,422.

Bharti has inched up to Rs 209 - down Rs 17. Hero Honda is now down Rs 46 at Rs 565.

Infosys is down 2% (Rs 45) at Rs 2,043. Wipro is steady at Rs 710 - down 5% (Rs 39).

ITC is still down Rs 25 at Rs 1,289. Reliance is still down Rs 8 at Rs 523. SBI is steady at Rs 603 - down 7% (Rs 47).
