Sensex plunges 436pts; Maruti, BHEL slip 4%

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 436 points at 19,197.

Maruti and BHEL have plunged over 4% each to Rs 1,010 and Rs 2,670, respectively.

DLF and Hindalco have shed 3.5% each at Rs 915 and Rs 198, respectively.

Infosys and Grasim have tumbled 2.8% each to Rs 1,573 and Rs 3,760, respectively. TCS has dropped 2.5% at Rs 963.

ONGC and HDFC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,233 and Rs 2,635, respectively.

ACC has soared 2.5% to Rs 1,111. Tata Motors has gained 1% at Rs 710.

Out of 2,845 stocks traded so far, 1,784 have advanced, 1,016 have declined and 45 are unchanged.
