Sensex rallies 449pts; Infosys zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 449 points at 19,612.

Infosys has zoomed 6% to Rs 1,800. Wipro has soared 4.5% to Rs 514, and TCS has surged 4% to Rs 1,087. Satyam has gained 2.6% at Rs 439.

HDFC, Bharti Airtel and ONGC have rallied 3.3% each to Rs 2,818, Rs 945 and Rs 1,230, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy have advanced nearly 3% each to Rs 1,191 and Rs 1,995, respectively.

Ambuja Cements, BHEL and HDFC Bank have moved up over 2% each to Rs 148, Rs 2,420 and Rs 1,681, respectively.

Tata Steel, ITC and Grasim have gained 2% each at Rs 841, Rs 200 and Rs 3,612, respectively.
