Sensex rallies 95pts; NTPC, HDFC lead

The Sensex is now up 95 points at 13,378.

NTPC has flared up 4% to Rs 136. HDFC has advanced 3% to Rs 1,541.

Reliance Energy and Gujarat Ambuja have surged 2.5% each to Rs 534 and Rs 138, respectively. Reliance Communications has added 2.3% to Rs 400.

Bharti Airtel has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 554. Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Maruti and Dr.Reddy's are up around 1% each at Rs 828, Rs 841, Rs 919 and Rs 796, respectively.

Hindalco and ONGC have dropped 1.3% each to Rs 182 and Rs 868, respectively. Hero Honda has slipped 1% to Rs 718.

Out of 2,513 stocks traded so far, 1,547 have advanced, 893 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
