The Sensex is now up 477 points at 9,225.
Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed over 15% to Rs 72. DLF has soared over 12% to Rs 215, and Tata Motors has surged 11.5% to Rs 148.
Larsen & Toubro and Tata Steel have gained 9.5% each at Rs 755 and Rs 180, respectively. Sterlite has added 8.5% to Rs 254.
Reliance Infrastructure, ICICI Bank, Reliance and BHEL have moved up 7.5% each to Rs 546, Rs 360, Rs 1,148 and Rs 1,362, respectively.
SBI has advanced over 6% to Rs 1,165. Reliance Communications, ACC, Tata Power and HDFC are up over 5% each at Rs 197, Rs 422, Rs 680 and Rs 1,483, respectively.
The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,139 stocks traded so far, 1,408 have advanced, 660 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
