Buying has steadied in select old and new economy stocks, with select counters easing on selling pressure. The Sensex, as a result, is now moving in a narrow range with a gain of 37 points at 6,560. The Nifty has shed some gains on profit-taking in select stocks, and is up four points at 2,064.

Reliance is still up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 528, and ITC is up Rs 2 at Rs 1,298. HLL is marginally down at Rs 144.

Infosys is trading with a steady gain of Rs 9 at Rs 2,058. While Satyam is up Rs 3 at Rs 407, Wipro is up a notch at Rs 746.

SBI has gained Rs 7 to Rs 640. While ICICI Bank has moved up by Rs 7 to Rs 371, HDFC Bank is marginally down at Rs 520.

ONGC is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 820.

ACC is up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 389. While Grasim has added Rs 14 to Rs 1,311, Gujarat Ambuja is up Rs 6 at Rs 401.

Ranbaxy is up Rs 4 at Rs 1,236. Dr. Reddy's and Cipla are also trading with steady gains at Rs 855 and Rs 314, respectively.

Hindalco has pared gains from its early rise, and is now up Rs 4 at Rs 1,450. Tisco is down a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 381.

Motherson Sumi has soared 20% to Rs 104. While Alpha Drugs has flared up 17.74% to Rs 23, LML has added 12.85% to Rs 50. Bharat Shipping, which got listed on the bourses yesterday, has gained 12.79% to Rs 146. Eicher Motors is up 10% at Rs 134.

Select counters have shed ground on selling pressure. Videocon has hit the 12% lower circuit to Rs 37. While Eskay has dropped 6% to Rs 18, ITC Hotels has lost 3.53% to Rs 146. Aftek Infosys has declined 3.17% to Rs 125, and Himachal Futuristics is down 2.91% at Rs 18.
