Sensex range-bound; breadth turns negative

The Sensex is moving in a narrow range of 10,975-11,000, and is now up 46 points at 10,987.

BHEL is up 3.5% at Rs 2,181. Hero Honda has surged 2.8% to Rs 935, and Cipla is up 2.2% at Rs 602.

The market breadth has turned negative. Out of 2,489 stocks traded so far, 1,255 have declined, 1,163 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.

Ganesh Forgings has zoomed over 15% to Rs 62. Goetze India, Pratibha, Teledata, Godrej Industries, JJ Exporter, Zuari, Hindustan Motors, Cadila, Bombay Dyeing, Geometric Software and Hinduja TMT are trading with significant gains.

TTK Prestige has plunged nearly 8% to Rs 160. Reliance Natural Resources, Zee, Micro Inks, GTL, Hexaware and Raymond are on slippery ground.
