Sensex rangebound; DLF down 2%

The Sensex is volatile in a narrow range. The index is now at 17,004, down 28 points.

DLF has slipped around 2% to Rs 378. ONGC, Tata Power, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, SBI and Reliance Infrastrcuture are down over 1% each.

Hero Honda is the major gainer, up 3% at Rs 1,685. IT stocks like Infosys, Wipro and TCS are holding their gains and are up 1.5% each at Rs 2,390, Rs 646 and Rs 676, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive, out of 2,278 shares traded, 1,283 have advanced and 912 have declined so far on the BSE.

The BSE IT index has soared 1.5% to 4,805 while the realty index has slipped 1% to 3,975, respectively.
