Sensex rebounds after a negative start

The Sensex today opened 1.5% (162 points) down at 10,805. The index slumped further deep into red to 10,719. However, the Sensex has now rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 22 points at 10,989.

Tata Motors has soared 13% to Rs 285. Ranbaxy Laboratories and Mahindra & Mahindra have surged 4% each to Rs 196 and Rs 468, respectively. BHEL has rallied 3.7% (Rs 56) to Rs 1,581.

Reliance Communications, DLF and Larsen & Toubro have gained significantly by 3% each.

Meanwhile, Infosys has droppped almost 5% (Rs 66) to Rs 1343. Sterlite has shed 3.5% to Rs 410. Wipro and HDFC Bank have declined 2.6% each to Rs 262 and Rs 1,067, respectively. TCS has slipped 2.4% (Rs 14) to Rs 577.

 

HDFC and ONGC stocks have also gone down.
