Sensex rebounds after a -ve start; RIL leads

The Sensex opened 103 points lower at 9,631, but soon rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 18 points at 9,753.

Reliance has surged 3.5% to Rs 1,212. Reliance Communications and ONGC have rallied around 3% each to Rs 223 and Rs 765, respectively.

ITC, Grasim, HDFC and Wipro have moved up around 2.5% each to Rs 173, Rs 1,050, Rs 1,698 and Rs 259, respectively.

Tata Power and Hindustan Unilever have gained 2% each at Rs 733 andRs 250, respectively.

NTPC, Reliance Infrastructure and SBI are up 1.8% each at Rs 147, Rs 515 and Rs 1,237, respectively.

 

Mahindra & Mahindra has plunged 4% to Rs 364. Tata Motors and Inofsys have slipped over 2% each to Rs 156 and Rs 1,221, respectively.

Sterlite and ICICI Bank have shed 1.5% each at Rs 234 and Rs 427, respectively.
