Sensex rebounds, Hindalco spurts

The Sensex slipped to a low of 12,372, and then rebounded into the positive zone. The index is now up 21 points at 12,410.

Tata Steel, HDFC Bank and Hindalco have spurted over 1% each to Rs 544, Rs 940 and Rs 174, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Gujarat Ambuja, Hero Honda and BHEL are the other prominent gainers.

Bajaj Auto, HDFC and Wipro are the notable losers.
