Sensex rebounds; Realty index up 1%

The Sensex recoverd from the day's low and has enterred the positive terrain.

The index is now 13 points higher at 14,946.

The BSE Metal index is down 2% at 11,737 while the Realty index has advanced 1% to 3,644.

Reliance Infrastrucure has soared 3.7% to Rs 1,316.

Tata Power and DLF have added over 2% each to Rs 1,208 and 360, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank are up 1% each at Rs 333, Rs 820 and Rs 743, respectively.

Tata Steel has dropped 3% to Rs 437. Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 2% each to Rs 387 and Rs 757, respectively.

 

ONGC, ACC, BHEL, TCS, Ranbaxy, Sterlite and Hindalco are down 1-2% each.

The market breadth continues to be positive, out of 2,444 shares traded, 1,335 have advanced and 1,030 have declined so far on the BSE.
