Sensex rebounds, Sterlite slides 6%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone on the back of fresh buying in the market. The index is now up 13 points at 14,958.

Reliance Infrastructure, Maruti, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel have rallied over 2% each to Rs 1,082, Rs 709, Rs 407 and Rs 837, respectively.

Grasim and Satyam have advanced around 1.5% ecah to Rs 2,046 and Rs 435, respectively.

TCS and Wipro are up over 1% each at Rs 865 and Rs 439, respectively.

Sterlite has plunged over 6% to Rs 584. Tata Motors has shed 2.6% at Rs 425.

BHEL has dropped 2% to Rs 1,756. SBI has slipped 1.4% to Rs 1,570.

DLF, Tata Power and NTPC are down 1% each.
