Sensex rebounds; Tata Motors, M&M slip

Sensex has rebounded and is now into the positive terrain at 13,793, up 57 points. Earlier in the day the index touched a high of 13,841 and then slipped to a low of 13,611 - down 230 points from the day's high.

Sterlite and ONGC have slumped over 3.5% to Rs 510 and Rs 1,036, respectively.

Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and DLF have slipped over 3% each to Rs 346, Rs 632 and Rs 331, respectively.

Hindalco is down 2.5% at Rs 77.

Larsen & Toubro has gained over 3% at Rs 1,283.  HDFC is up 2% at Rs 2,140.

 

Reliance and NTPC are the other marginal gainers. 

Market breadth remains positive, out of 2,614 shares traded, 1,639 have advanced and 912 have declined.
