Sensex rebounds, up 10pts

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 10 points at 18,613.

Updated at 1500 hrs

The Sensex is now down 305 points at 18,297.

Reliance Energy has tumbled over 8% to Rs 1,553. NTPC and DLF have slumped 7.5% each to Rs 222 and Rs 807, respectively.

ONGC has plunged 6.5% to Rs 1,116. Larsen & Toubro has shed 6% at Rs 3,860.

Reliance Communications and Tata Steel have dropped 3% each to Rs 661 and Rs 799, respectively.

BHEL has slipped 2% to Rs 2,436. HDFC and Ranbaxy have declined 1.7% each to Rs 2,555 and Rs 392, respectively.

Reliance and Infosys are down 1.5% each at Rs 2,680 and Rs 1,525, respectively.

SBI has surged nearly 3% to Rs 2,216. Bajaj Auto has rallied 2% to Rs 2,469, and ACC has advanced 1.5% to Rs 1,095.

Out of 2,786 stocks traded so far, 2,134 have declined, 612 have advanced and 40 are unchanged.
