Sensex rebounds, up 10pts; Ranbaxy soars 5%

The Sensex has recovered all its losses and now rebounded into the positive zone. The index is now up 10 points at 14,147.

Ranbaxy has soared over 5% to Rs 367. Cipla has surged 2% to Rs 244.

Tata Motors, Hero Honda and HDFC Bank have rallied over 1.5% each to Rs 755, Rs 671 and Rs 1,029, respectively. HDFC has added 1.3% to Rs 1,733.

ITC and ACC are the other prominent gainers at Rs 158 and Rs 824, respectively.

Satyam, Infosys and Tata Steel have declined around 2% each to Rs 465, Rs 2,019 and Rs 567, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has slipped over 1% to Rs 863.

Out of 2,452 stocks traded so far, 1,330 have advanced, 1,017 have declined and 105 are unchanged.
