Sensex rebounds, up 127pts

The Sensex opened 74 points lower at 8,841, and slipped into the negative zone to a low of 8,709. The index has now rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 127 points at 9,042.

Jaiprakash Associates has surged over 4% to Rs 61.

Larsen & Toubro and TCS have rallied over 3% each to Rs 785 and Rs 522, respectively.

Tata Power, SBI and Hindalco have gained nearly 3% each at Rs 649, Rs 1,216 and Rs 53, respectively.

ACC and NTPC have moved up 2.5% each to Rs 410 and Rs 154, respectively.

HDFC, BHEL and Reliance Communications are up 2% each at Rs 1,428, Rs 1,305 and Rs 211, respectively.

 

Sterlite has shed 2.3% at Rs 214. DLF has slipped 1.6% to Rs 195, and HDFC Bank is down 1% at Rs 849.
